Unlocking Indigenous Talent, Knowledge and Wisdom through Intrapreneurialism
Presented By:
Mundanara Bayles Managing Director and Co-Founder of Blackcard
Synopsis
In this thought-provoking presentation Mundanara gives us insights into the unique qualities of Australian aboriginal culture and draws parallels between the governance structures of aboriginal society and the kinds of structures that enable intrapreneurs within organisations and businesses to thrive. Aboriginal society is unique in that it flourished for tens of thousands of years without hierarchies and chieftainship constructs using a lateral governance structure that relied on diplomacy, equality, and congenial fellowship with a focus on investing in relationships. Similarly, intrapreneurialism blossoms in a context where people are valued, respected, understood and treated as equals; where everyone can participate regardless of their titles.
